This Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice”) sets forth the ways in which we, Casio Computer Co., Ltd. (“Casio”, “we”, “our” or “us”) collect information with respect to our app, ”ClassWiz Calc App” (“App”).
Please read the following carefully to understand how we will process your information provided via your use of the App (“Your Information”).
1. Your Information
1.1 Analytics
The App uses Adobe Analytics Cloud (“Adobe Analytics”), an analytics services provided by Adobe Systems Incorporated (“Adobe”), to help our analysis how users use the App. Certain types of Your Information are automatically transmitted to and stored on Adobe servers from your device each time you use the App through using cookies, web beacons and other technologies. Such Your Information includes (i) device identifier, model name, OS version, system or setting data, usage data and other technical information of the device you use and installed the App; and (ii) date and time of access to and usage of the App .
1.2. Advertising identifier / Push notifications
Once you have given consent (i) to process the IDFA of Apple or advertising ID of Google ("IDs") and (ii) to receive push notifications, we send you personalized advertisements by processing these IDs and personalized direct marketing messages via push notifications. To make the experience even more personal, we also process and analyze your access behavioral histories. The data is collected on our behalf by Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The push notifications are sent to you on this basis by our local Casio entity.
2. Purpose of usage
We use Your Information for the following purposes (“Purposes”);
(i) to operate the App by providing you with the respective functionalities of the App;
(ii) to analyze the performance of the App, and review and improve the performance, usability and effectiveness of the App;
(iii) to develop, review and improve our products and services other than the App;
(iv) to provide you with more suitable services and personalize your preference and experience in our other services
(v) to show users targeted advertisements for items that you might be of interest to you based on access histories of users in the App; and
(vi) to send direct marketing messages, such as a push notification (including advertisements for the products and services related to the App) to you on your device.
We may share aggregated Your Information with third parties for statistical and analytical purpose to develop, review and improve the products and services related to the App, provided such information cannot be used to identify specific individual.
Your device may have settings that allow you to transmit a “Do Not Track” signal when you visit various websites or use online services. This App is not designed to respond to “Do Not Track” signals of this nature.
3. Legal basis
We will process Your Information based on the explicit consent given by you. Alternatively, we will use Your Information for the purpose of rendering the requested contractual service and the performance of the contract as set forth in (i) to (ii) of Paragraph 2, acting on the basis of any other legal grounds, such as to comply with a legal obligation or a court order, or legitimate interest as set forth in (iii) to (iv) of Paragraph 2, when permitted under applicable laws.
The withdrawal of your consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing performed based on the consent before your withdrawal. Your Information could still be processed if there is a legal basis related to complying with a contractual obligation.
4. Management of Your Information
We have taken steps to protect Your Information in an appropriate manner, including to protect personally identifiable information included in Your Information. If you would like to know about the steps, please contact us and/or our data protection officer (“DPO”) at the contact information described in Paragraph 12. We collect, use and disclose (including cross-border transfer) Your Information to the extent permitted or required under applicable laws. 5. Storage location
Your Information is transmitted to and stored in a server operated by Adobe or Salesforce Inc., which server may be located outside of your country; the United Kingdom and the United States of America. For more details, please see below.

6. Cross-Border Transfer Disclosure
We filter advertisement categories, and based on the categories selected by us, Your Information is transferred to the advertisement distribution server. We cannot provide the name of its operator and the country where the server is located since we do not know its operators.
You can opt-out of transferring Your Information to the advertisement distribution servers by setting an opt-out on your device.
7. Disclosing Your Information to third parties
We may disclose Your Information to any judicial or governmental authorities, courts, external advisors, and similar third parties, if so required by them, in accordance with any applicable laws, rules or regulations.
8. Opt-out / Refusal
Generally, the processing of Your Information is voluntary.
By selecting the appropriate setting on the App, you may refuse or opt-out of the processing of Your Information.

9. Retention period
Your Information will be retained only for as long as necessary for accomplishment of the Purposes, or as allowed by law. When we no longer need to process Your Information, Your Information will be erased from the systems and/or records. However, we need to keep Your Information to comply with legal or regulatory obligation to which we are subject until the end of such obligation.
10. Your rights
You have a number of legal rights in relation to Your Information. These rights may vary depending on where you are located and which data protection laws will apply to the relationship between you and us, but would typically include;
(i) the right to obtain information regarding the processing of Your Information including purposes of use and to access to Your Information and records on third party provision of personal data, or records on receipt of the personal data from a third party;
(ii) the right to request that we rectify Your Information if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
(iii) the right to request that we erase Your Information;
(iv) the right to request that we restrict our processing of Your Information;
(v) the right to object to us about our processing of Your Information;
(vi) the right to receive a copy of any of Your Information where this is technically feasible;
(vii) the right to transmit Your Information received from us to another entity without hindrance from us; and

11. Changes to this Privacy Notice
We reserve the right to make any changes to this Privacy Notice. You will be notified adequately of any such changes. Such changes are effective immediately unless a different effective date is stated, however, if specifically required to do so by applicable laws, we will seek your prior consent before adopting such changes in respect of Your Information.

This Addendum to the Privacy Notice for California (this “Addendum”) applies to California residents.

To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to Your Information or complying with your deletion request.
Upon receiving an access or deletion request from you, we will first verify your identity by requiring you to submit your name and e-mail address, and by matching the information you provide with what we already have on file.
If you use an authorized agent to make an access or deletion request on your behalf, we may require the authorized agent to provide proof that you gave the agent signed permission to make the request. Also, we may require you to either (1) verify your own identity directly with us (as described above), or (2) directly confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request.
